Biographies:
Kenneth R. Stettner
Ken is the senior shareholder of Stettner, Miller and Cohn, P.C. He received his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1970. He was admitted to the Colorado Bar and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit in 1970, and the United States Supreme Court in 1980. Ken has been a member of the Associated General Contractors of America Labor and Employment Law Council since 1987 and is a member of its National Executive Committee. His entire career has been dedicated to the practice of management labor and employment law. Ken has testified as an expert witness in management labor and employment law cases. He has spoken at numerous seminars on labor law and employment subjects.
Robert R. Miller
Bob received his law degree from the University of Denver College of Law in 1976. He has been admitted to the Colorado Bar and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth, Tenth and Eleventh Circuits and the United States Supreme Court. He is a National Executive Committee Member with the Associated General Contractors Labor and Employment Law Council and has served on the National Executive Committee of the Council since 1987. His entire career has involved the representation of management clients in labor relations matters. Bob has testified as an expert witness in management labor and employment law cases. Bob frequently conducts seminars on labor-related subjects.
Robert I. Cohn
Bob graduated from the University of Denver College of Law in 1971. He is admitted to practice before the Colorado Bar, United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Bob is actively involved in public and private sector management labor and employment law. He was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Denver and lectures in Colorado and the western United States on a wide variety of labor and employment law issues. Bob represents numerous private and public schools and school districts.
Bruce Anderson
Bruce graduated from the University of Denver College of Law in 1976. Bruce is admitted to practice before the Colorado Bar and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Bruce began his career in the Adams County District Attorney's office from 1976 to 1980, and has continued handling litigation in private practice since that time, with an emphasis on employment litigation. Bruce has extensive litigation experience representing private and public sector employers in arbitrations, alternative dispute resolution proceedings, state and federal court cases and in matters before the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state fair employment agencies.
Kate Raabe
Kate graduated from the University of Denver College of Law in 1982. Kate is admitted to practice before the Colorado Bar, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Kate began practicing as a judicial clerk for The Honorable John L. Kane, Jr. of the United States District Court for the District of Colorado. Kate specializes in management labor and employment law, minority and woman-owned business matters and a wide range of other employment issues. Kate has given seminars and participated in panel discussions on discrimination and other personnel issues, collective bargaining and other labor and employment related subjects.
John S. Finn
John graduated from the University of Denver College of Law in 1975. John is admitted to practice before the Colorado Bar, United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth and Tenth Circuits, and the United States Tax Court. John joined Stettner, Miller and Cohn as a shareholder in 1989 with an extensive business orientation/litigation background. John has been a lecturer at the University of Denver College of Law, Program of Advanced Professional Development, Discovery Techniques. John is a member of the Denver, Colorado and American (member, Litigation Section) Bar Associations.
William C. Berger
Bill is a 1988 graduate of the University of Colorado School of Law. Bill's practice includes representation of employers in all aspects of labor and employment law matters. He has extensive litigation experience including grievances, labor arbitrations, state and federal court litigation and proceedings before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and state fair employment agencies. Bill is the editor of our firm's quarterly newsletter and has authored employment-related articles which have appeared in The Colorado Lawyer and is a regular contributor to The Denver Business Journal.
Susan M. Schaecher
Sue is a 1982 graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law. Sue is admitted to practice before the state courts of Colorado and Nebraska, the United States District Courts of Colorado and Nebraska, the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court. Since 1984, Sue has represented employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters including litigation before trial and appellate courts and proceedings before state and federal administrative agencies. She has lectured and written articles on labor and employment issues for clients and various organizations. Sue has served on the faculty of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy's Rocky Mountain Regional Deposition Programs and Program for Protection & Advocacy Attorneys.
Brent P. Benrud
Brent was admitted to practice in 1992 in Wisconsin; 1993 in Illinois; 1995 in Minnesota and 1998 in Colorado. Brent graduated from Luther College (B.C., magna cum laude in 1989) and then attended the University of Minnesota (J.D., cum laude, 1992), Phi Beta Kappa. He is a member of the State Bars of Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Colorado. Brent has extensive litigation experience representing private and public sector employers in all types of labor and employment law cases.
